The Pigs-- A story about 2 unlikely friendships-- Part IV

Paris, France

Kirby was pacing around in his cage, which he shared with Newbie, designing escape plans, each more ludicrous than the one before. "How 'bout this, when Genevieve opens the cage door to give us food, I run out? No, that won't work," he muttered to himself. "Kirby, if you're just going try to escape, you won't have any fun. Just relax a little bit. Genevieve always takes me on a vacation to a beach, back in the states. I bet you'll be able to come along." Genevieve suddenly walked into the room, and took the two guinea pigs out of their cages. She put them in carriers and drove them to the airport. Once at the airport, Genevieve and the guinea pigs boarded Genevieve's private Lear jet. They got in the plane, and took off.

The Pigs-- A story about 2 unlikely friendships-- Part III

Roissy-Charles De Gaulle Airport
Paris, France

As Kirby was being carried in my carrier after 6 hours of constant nausea (I really shouldn't have eaten all of those pieces of lettuce), finally the airplane touched down in Paris, there was a lot of jostling to get off of the airplane. When the burglar and Kirby got onto the ground, the burglar hailed a taxi and ordered "675 Fashion Drive. Pronto." 15 minutes later, the burglar got out of the car. He walked up the front steps to the mansion and buzzed the intercom. "Genevieve, I'm here with the pig." A tall woman opened the door and said, "This is a guinea pig. Pigs are pink and fat, although this guinea pig is getting a little chubby. The woman spoke again, "Come on in, Kenneth; we have business to discuss." Kenneth stepped on in. Genevieve took Kirby and brought him into a sickly pink room, with the walls painted the same color as Pepto-Bismo. He was plopped unceremoniously into the cage, with another guinea pig that looked like him, but had black all around her head. The mysterious guinea pig spoke, "My name is Newbie. Are you from around here?" Kirby replied, "No, I was from a pet store in New York." Newbie said enthusiastically, "I'm from there, too. Any chance that you were from Bill's Pet Wonderland?"

A little help here!!!

Kirby and Newbie are getting kind of lazy; just loungin' around their cage, with nothing to do except eat and sleep. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of things that I could do with them.

The Pigs-- A story about 2 unlikely friendships-- Part II

 2:00 a.m.
Paris, France

Newbie woke up in her pink, ornate, cage with one thought, "If Genevieve has so much fashion, how on Earth could she have possibly given me a name as horrific as 'Newbie'?" Genevieve was Newbie's owner, who was also the worldwide fashion designer. Although many adored her style, Newbie thought that Genevieve's fashion sense was worse than a troll, based on the sickly sweet pink that covered her room. Although Newbie knew that she was only here because she was keeping Genevieve's daughter entertained while Genevieve was away on her long trips, Newbie would have rather been at the pet store with her friend. Then the burglar came. She only knew that the burglar's name was Kenneth because Genevieve apparently associated with him lots of times. If Genevieve needed crocodile skin for her fashion designing, Kenneth stole it for her. Genevieve and Newbie were the only ones in the mansion that knew about Kenneth. If only her buddy from the pet store were here to comfort her.
1:35 a. m.
New York, New York

Kirby had gotten out of his bed of shavings. It was stormy out, but he was not afraid of the storm. He had been found by the Baltons in a storm, right here in New York. He had hated the day, but yet held onto it as a comforting hope. He was now pacing the cage, wondering if he should wake his roommate, Mickey. "Better not", he decided. He got on the wheel and started to spin. He had heard footsteps, though not soft, light, and quick, like one of the Balton children; or one of the heavy, thumping, deliberate steps. He had heard him before. The night the Baltons took him in. He had been at the pet store. He was just going to take a bit of money from the pet store, that's all. But then the animals started making a racket, so he dumped all of the animals onto the New York streets. Kirby was lucky enough to survive. He had seen Mr. Balton as he was walking home from a long day at work. Mr. Balton had been kind enough to pick up Kirby, and carried him all the way home.

Now the burglar was back to finish the job. Kirby bolted out of the cage as the burglar opened it. He fled back out, into the cold streets of New York. He had reached Central Park, thinking that the burglar would never find him here, with all of the hideouts he and his friends from the pet store had built in their free time. Too late. The burglar had scooped him up in his hands, carrying him to who knows where.
